“If every kid felt like it was possible for them to change the world, then I guarantee that would be awesome. Like, why not believe in yourself enough to say, I will be the person that ends war. I will be the person to solve world hunger. Why not say that? Like, you think the people sitting there were any different than you and I? I think that’s really the main thing, is just to kind of look at yourself as a possibility to do greater things than anyone ever imagines.” Mac Miller

Mac Miller is one of my favorite rappers out there. If you are unfamiliar with who he is, check out his Wikipedia page or Youtube channel. While I can’t say that I necessarily support all of his lyrics, he is still pretty awesome. One of the biggest reasons I love his music is how happy he is. The guy legitimately loves life and loves what he does. In his song Best Day Ever, he raps:

No matter where life takes me, find me with a smile,
Pursuit to be happy only laughing like a child,
I never thought life would be this sweet,
It got me cheesing from cheek to cheek.

And I ain’t gonna wait for nothing,                                                 Cause that just ain’t my style,
Life couldn’t get better,                                                                 This gon’ be the best day ever

Mac Miller recently was on MTV for an episode of “How I Made It,” which you can watch here. I love hearing about how he always kept believing in himself, even when he only had 3 fans. Check it out, check out his music, and keep believing in yourself. I’ll leave you with a little wisdom from Eleanor Roosevelt: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
