We are dedicated to three things:
- Help you realize your full potential
- Push personal limits
- Define and follow your dreams
It is about living life unlimited—finding ways to achieve what people thought was previously impossible, whether that be in business, athletics, family, or any other area of life. People should only be limited by the extent of their imagination, passion, and desire.
The word limit has several different meanings, all getting at a similar point. One definition is “something that bounds, restrains, or confines.” Another is “a prescribed maximum or minimum amount, quantity, or number.” A third is “the final, utmost, or furthest boundary or point as to extent, amount, continuance, procedure, etc.”
While all three definitions are different, they all have a related message: a limit is the maximum or farthest of something. For our purposes, limits are those that are designed to hold us back and keep us from realizing our true and full potential
Who sets our limits?
Sometimes limits are set for our own good (speed limit, bed time, electrical current). But when it comes to pushing personal limits on what we can achieve, what we can become, our biggest opponent is often ourselves. Without a clear picture of where to go and how to get there, our minds often go back to past failures. Too many times, we would rather be safe than disappointed. When we impose limits on ourselves, it is usually because we are afraid of taking on the gargantuan task of working hard for something that matters to us. It’s not easy, and so we create a limit in order to avoid taking this new project on.
When others or society imposes limits, it is generally because the other doesn’t want to see you truly succeed. They want to keep you on the same level as they are so they can feel good about themselves. They want to maintain the status quo. Often, people don’t deal well with change, so they create limits to keep you in your place.
While limits are everywhere, the good news is that they don’t have to mean anything. They only have as much worth and power as we give them. If you choose to abide by the limits imposed by yourself, society, and others, then the limits have a tremendous amount of power and will dictate your life. However, if you decide to ignore the limits, then the possibilities are truly unlimited.
And that is what The Unlimited Project is here to do. We want to help you identify limits and then proceed to obliterate them. We want to help you blast through the muck and mediocrity you see so often in everyday life. If you can only learn one thing from us, then we hope it is this: you don’t have to accept life as it is prescribed and handed to you. Instead, you can make of life what you want.
This extends to all areas of life. To borrow from the Marines, it’s about being the best you can be, in every area of life. This includes business, athletics, family, leisure, and more. We want you to live out your wildest dreams and, when it is all said and done, to have lived the life you always wanted to.
